Hey Herd Members!

Can you believe it's already been a week since we immersed ourselves in the wonderful world of all things fibre at Prairie Fibre Fest? We (your Yabby Yaks hosts!) had an absolutely incredible time, and it was so fantastic to connect with so many of you in person. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, shared your latest projects, and just generally brought your amazing energy to the event!

Prairie Fibre Fest Highlights!

Prairie Fibre Fest was truly a vibrant gathering, and it warmed our fibre-loving hearts to see so many familiar faces and meet so many new ones. We loved chatting about your favourite yarns, sharing tips and tricks, and hearing about what inspires your creativity. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, from the incredible vendors showcasing their stunning fibres and tools to the inspiring workshops and demonstrations. We even managed to pick up a few treasures ourselves – our stashes are definitely a little heavier (and happier!) after the Fest!

We were particularly touched by the stories you shared about how the Yabby Yaks podcast has become a part of your crafting journey. Hearing about your triumphs, your challenges, and even just how our voices accompany you through your knitting or spinning sessions truly makes all the hard work worthwhile. It's a constant reminder of the incredible community we're building together, and events like Prairie Fibre Fest are the perfect opportunity to feel that connection tangibly.

One of the absolute joys of events like this is the serendipitous encounters. We had some truly delightful conversations with fellow fibre enthusiasts, discovering new patterns, techniques, and even a few hidden gems in the fibre world. We've come away feeling re-energized and full of new ideas for upcoming podcast episodes, inspired by all of you!

We're thrilled to announce that preparations for our upcoming Yabby Yaks Retreat in Jasper are well underway, and we simply cannot wait to share this unforgettable experience with you. This retreat is designed to be the ultimate escape for fibre lovers.
